US economy grew faster than expected in third quarter
We have heard this week that the economy in the United States grew at a faster pace than expected in the third quarter, according to estimates from the Commerce Department. An initial estimate of third-quarter GDP from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) showed the economy grew at an annualized rate of 4.3%. This growth was seen during a three-month period including July, August, and September. LiveNOW’s Shawna Khalafi is learning more about what this could mean for the economy in 2026 with Nicole Goodkind, a senior writer at Barron's who covers the Federal Reserve and economy.
