Early predictions for 2026 hurricane season

LiveNOW’s Andy Mac is speaking with Joe Martucci, from “Cup A Joe Weather and Drone” as forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) say they will be utilizing updated cone graphics for forecasting during the 2026 hurricane season. This comes as researchers at Colorado State University are predicting a somewhat below-average 2026 Atlantic hurricane season, running from June 1 to November 30, with 13 named storms according to their calculations.
