Top federal prosecutor in Manhattan resigns
The top federal prosecutor in Manhattan resigned Thursday rather than obey a Justice Department order to drop corruption charges against NYC Mayor Adams. The resignation of Danielle Sassoon was confirmed by a spokesperson for the office. Her resignation came days after a senior Justice Department official directed New York prosecutors to drop the case against Adams. LiveNOW's Andrew Craft spoke about Sassoon's resignation with former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani.
