Powell nears end of term as Fed holds rates steady

We are learning the latest this Wednesday as the Federal Reserve left its benchmark interest rate unchanged for the third straight meeting. However, the Fed did signal it could still cut rates in the coming months. The Fed kept its short-term rate at 3.6% and retained language in its statement suggesting the next move would be a rate reduction. LiveNOW’s Anna Marsick is speaking with economic strategist Dan Varroney as Chair Jerome Powell will reportedly step down from his leadership role when his term ends on May 15.
