EU leaders ask Trump to support security interests

European Union leaders are appealing to President Donald Trump to defend their security interests at a key summit later this week in Alaska with his Russian counterpart Vladamir Putin over the war in Ukraine. "We, the Leaders of the European Union, welcome the efforts of President Trump towards ending Russia?s war of aggression against Ukraine and achieving a just and lasting peace and security for Ukraine," said EU leaders in a statement.
