Europe to purchase $750 billion in U.S. energy
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen spoke to the media following an announcement that President Trump and the European Union have reached a trade deal. The two leaders met on Sunday in Scotland, and announced a 15% 'straight-across' tariff on most goods. Von der Leyen said Europe will purchase $750 billion in energy from the United States over the course of 3 years, easing the Union's dependence on natural gas from Russia.
