Violence in Middle East flares up over weekend

On Saturday, two Israeli airstrikes in the West Bank killed 9 Palestinian militants. As Israel's government confirmed the attacks, cease-fire negotiations continued in Gaza. The United States is still urging Israel to take a cease-fire agreement, after the killing of Hama's political leader in Iran. Hamas said its command had begun discussions on choosing a new leader.
