Blinken: China working to curb fentanyl spread

At the conference of US Mayors, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said diplomacy with China is helping to curb the spread of fentanyl, responsible for thousands of poisonings and overdoses across America. Following discussions with US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping during a visit to San Francisco late last year, Blinken said China has started curbing the export of chemical precursors that often make their way to Mexico and later distributed in the form of fentanyl in the United States.
