Pope Francis hospitalized for bronchitis

On Friday, Pope Francis was hospitalized to teat a weeklong sickness of bronchitis and undergo diagnostic tests, the Vatican said. Francis was diagnosed with bronchitis last Thursday, but he had continued to hold audiences daily in his Vatican hotel suite. He also attended his general audience Wednesday and an outdoor Mass on Sunday. He did hand off his speeches for an aide to read aloud due to troubled breathing.
