East Coast prepares for weekend of snow storms

Experts are predicting a powerful coastal storm to develop, and a number of forecasters say its track will determine whether New York City sees accumulating snow or largely avoids the impact. Right now, weather experts are expecting a system to form off the coast of the Carolinas. The National Weather Service (NWS) says confidence is growing that a powerful coastal storm will develop late this week, with the potential to bring snow, strong winds and bitter cold to the East Coast.
