Hurricane Erin: Life-threatening surf

Hurricane Erin continues to impact hundreds of miles of coastline along the Eastern Seaboard, proving a storm of such size doesn't need to make landfall to bring widespread impacts. Right now destructive waves up to 20 feet are being seen in North Carolina's Outer Banks and spreading through Virginia. Over in Ocean City, Maryland waves and winds are picking up as well. Hurricane Erin is a category 2 storm with sustained winds of 105mph.
