House Democrats call for ACA vote before Christmas Break

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and fellow Democrats held a news conference on the front steps of the U.S. Capitol Thursday. Lawmakers are set to head home after the House of Representatives holds the final votes of 2025 on Thursday, leaving unresolved the expiration of pandemic-era Obamacare subsidies for millions of Americans who risk losing health care coverage in January of 2026.
