Midnight deadline looms as government nears shutdown

The United States government is inching closer to a shutdown tonight. If funding legislation does not get passed by Congress and signed by President Donald Trump, many government offices across the nation will be temporarily shuttered and nonexempt federal employees will be furloughed.
