President Trump and Russian President Putin, are scheduled to meet in Alaska next Friday for talks to end the war in Ukraine. And while Ukrainian President Zelenskyy welcomes the talks he says there will be no peace if he is not a part of the talks. Trump posted on Truth Social: The highly anticipated meeting between myself, as President of the United States of America, and President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, will take place next Friday, August 15, 2025, in the Great State of Alaska. Further details to follow. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" Putin?s last visit to the U.S. was in 2015, when he attended the U.N. General Assembly meeting in New York. He last met with Trump in 2019 in Japan.
