Fmr. Rep George Santos sentenced to 7+ years

George Santos, the disgraced former New York congressman who fabricated his life story to win public office, was sentenced Friday to 87 months in prison for lying about his campaign fundraising and stealing from political donors. U.S. District Judge Joanna Seybert also ordered him to pay over $373,000 in restitution. Santos pleaded guilty last summer to federal wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
