UVA emergency: Active attacker with knife on campus

An "active attacker with knife" has been reported on the campus of the University of Virginia, according to police. Officers were dispatched to the to the campus grounds for a report of a stabbing around 4:35 p.m. The victim was taken to the campus health facility. Thursday. UVA officials described the suspect as a middle-aged white male, in a white t-shirt, blue pants, and white shoes. Police are searching for the suspect, students and staff should stay where they are until the order is lifted. This marks the second time in a week that the University of Virginia has been placed under a shelter-in-place order.
