JD Vance sworn in as vice president
JD Vance was officially sworn-in as the nation's 47th president. Vance took the oath of office for the first time moments before Trump was officially sworn in as president. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh administered the oath to Vance. The choice of Kavanaugh is no surprise: incoming second lady Usha Vance clerked for Kavanaugh when he was a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington.
