Shooting at shopping plaza in Raleigh, NC

Raleigh police are responding to a shooting at North Hills in Raleigh on Friday, where at least one person was killed. This is not an active shooter situation, police said. People in the area said they heard several gunshots near the front of the shopping center, near REI and Coquette. Nearby Carroll Middle School is on a code red lockdown, which means students are locked in their classrooms. Green Magnet Elementary School is on a code yellow lockdown, which means the school's exterior doors are locked and no one can enter or exit.
