Bear mating season: Several bear encounters in Orlando over last two weeks

Another bear sighting in Orange County! This one found up in a tree along John Young and Silver Star Road. Bear sightings typically pickup between May and July with the most active period being in June. According to the FWC, during this time of year, Juvenile bears are starting to leave their mother?s home range and may be seen in unexpected areas as they try to find a new home. Just last month a bear was spotted at Lake Eola Park a popular downtown area in Orlando.
