VA Gov. Spanberger delivers address to State Assembly
Abigail Spanberger has recently made history as the first woman to be elected governor of Virginia. Elected back in November 2025, Gov. Spanberger is now launching her initiative to unite Virginians with her campaign focusing on education, affordability, and public safety. She spoke to the Virginia General Assembly for the first time as the sitting governor on Monday. This comes days after Spanberger’s first day on the job saw her sign a total of 10 executive orders covering a wide swath of policy issues.
