Ida aftermath: Mississippi highway collapse leaves 2 dead, 10 hurt
A highway collapse in Mississippi took out a section of a road with cars on it, killing at least two people. The road collapse happened near Lucedale, MS. The Mississippi Highway Patrol said two lanes of the road collapsed, killing at least two people. Another 10 people were hurt, including three who suffered critical injuries. The collapse came as Ida, which made landfall Sunday in Louisiana as a Category 4 hurricane before being downgraded to a tropical storm and, later, a depression, continued to churn through Mississippi.
