Afghanistan evacuations: 16,000 rescued from Kabul in last 24 hours, Pentagon says

Pentagon officials provided an update on evacuations at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan. Approximately 16,000 people were on planes that left the country in the last 24 hours, including 11,000 transported by the U.S. military.
