Israel-Iran conflict on hold
A fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran appears to be holding after a tense start marked by mutual accusations of violations. The situation drew a public response from former President Donald Trump, who took credit for ending the conflict. “Both Israel and Iran wanted to stop the war, equally!” Trump posted on Truth Social Tuesday, while en route to a NATO summit in the Netherlands. “It was my great honor to destroy all nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR!” However, according to reports, the U.S. airstrikes did set back Iran’s nuclear program by several months, but did not succeed in fully dismantling it.
