Mahmoud Khalil will remain detained
During a deportation hearing, a judge ordered that Columbia University protest organizer Mahmoud Khalil remain detained in Louisiana despite his lawyers' petition to have him returned to New York, where his wife is eight months pregnant. Khalil's docket for his case be made public, the judge ruled. The Trump administration has stated that he will not be brought back to New York. The Department of Homeland Security accuses him of activities aligned with Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.
