The ISIS-K terrorist who directed the August 2021 suicide bombing that killed 13 U.S. service members during the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan has been killed by the Taliban, a senior administration official told Fox News Digital. The official said the Biden administration had "recently become aware" that the ISIS-K operative behind the suicide bombing at the Abbey Gate of Hamid Karzai International Airport on Aug. 26, 2021, was eliminated "in a Taliban operation." The bombing took the lives of 11 Marines, one Navy sailor and one Army soldier. Eighteen other U.S. service members were wounded. The bombing also left more than 150 civilians dead.
