California slammed by several storms bringing rain, snow & hail | LiveNOW from FOX

A series of powerful storms continue to move through California. The winter weather was forecast to bring heavy rain, localized flooding, snow and blizzard conditions and cold temperatures. In Southern California, the infamous part of the Interstate-Five freeway, known as the grapevine, was shut down due to snow and the National Weather Service Office in San Diego issued its first-ever Blizzard Warning and the National Weather Service Office in Los Angeles issued its first Blizzard Warning in 34 Years. In Northern California, more low-elevation snow built up already massive snow totals in the Sierra Nevada. According to the California Department of Water Resources, the Sierra Nevada Mountains are currently sitting at more than 180% of its normal snowpack for this time of the year.
