Chinese Spy Balloon update: U.S. reportedly considering plan to shoot balloon down over Atlantic Ocean

The Associated Press reported Saturday afternoon that the United States is considering a plan to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon that has been drifting across the country for days. China has denied that the balloon is being used to spy on the U.S., saying instead that it's a civilian airship used to monitor weather and it simply blew off course. The Pentagon says that's not the case.
