UCLA student murder suspect walked free on low bail for multiple cases before stabbing
Police have identified a suspect in UCLA grad student Brianna Kupfer's murder after surveillance video captured him walking away from the scene of the fatal stabbing. The suspect, 31-year-old Shawn Laval Smith, is a career criminal who has been accused of crimes across the country, including multiple cases across the country that are STILL pending where he was given low bail and allowed to remain free. Smith is considered armed and dangerous and has not been located by authorities.
