Tornadoes in Arkansas, Midwest kill at least 21 people

A monster storm system has torn through the South and Midwest spawning tornadoes that shredded homes and shopping centers, overturned vehicles and uprooted as people raced for shelter.

Several tornados raced through parts of Arkansas, Tennessee, Illinois and Iowa Friday evening, splintering homes, overturning vehicles and tossing trees and debris on roadways. Thousands are without power as several states remain under tornado warnings.
