Duffy, officials give update after LaGuardia crash

We are now getting an update after Air Canada Express Flight 8646 collided with a rescue vehicle while landing at LaGuardia Airport on Sunday around 11:45 p.m., resulting in the deaths of both pilots. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted on social media, saying, in part: "I have been briefed on the tragic collision that took place at LaGuardia Airport late last night." Officials from the airport are currently speaking alongside leaders including Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul and United States Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy.
