Jackson wins GOP nomination in GA governor’s race

We are watching tonight as Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones lost his bid for the state’s Republican gubernatorial nomination. Jones was defeated by billionaire businessman Rick Jackson in the GOP runoff election for governor. Both candidates are working to succeed current term-limited Gov. Brian Kemp. Jackson is now set to face former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who served in the Biden administration, in this November's general election.
