Nick Reiner will not face death penalty

We’re following breaking news that Nick Reiner will not face the death penalty if convicted in the killings of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said prosecutors made the decision following a “rigorous review” of the case, including discussions with the Reiner family. If convicted, Reiner will face a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.Reiner is charged with two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances in connection with the fatal stabbing of his parents inside their Brentwood home in December.
