President Trump arrives at Kennedy Center Honors
The 48th annual Kennedy Center Honors is set to take place at the famed Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Sunday evening. President Donald Trump is hosting the show, marking the first time a president will host instead of watching in the audience with the honorees. Trump skipped the honors ceremonies altogether during his first term. He arrived at the Kennedy Center with First Lady Melania Trump, where he took questions from reporters as they walked down the red carpet. Trump was asked about the potential Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery, the peace plan negotiations between Russia's Putin and Ukraine's Zelenskyy, who is on his "naughty list" this holiday season, and what songs are on his playlist. Actors Sylvester Stallone and Michael Crawford, singers Gloria Gaynor and George Straight, and the band Kiss were all honored at this year's honors awards show. Many members of the Trump administration were in attendance on Sunday night paying tribute to the artists, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnik.
