GOP lawmakers talk Epstein emails, shutdown vote

On Wednesday, House Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters "we are very optimistic about the vote tally tonight." This comes as a number of GOP House members speak as the vote to end the ongoing government shutdown draws closer. "We think this is going to happen and we’re sorry it took this long," Johnson added. Speaking today on the steps of the Capitol were Rep. Tim Burchett who represents Tennessee and Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina.
