Philadelphia police officer shot breaking up fight

A Philadelphia police officer was shot while breaking up a fight near Overbrook High School on Wednesday afternoon, officials said. Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker and Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel speak to reporters in a press conference following the incident. The officer was shot in the stomach and was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Hospital. Officials said the officer is in critical, yet stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
