DOJ announces $509M cocaine bust tied to cartels

During a press conference Wednesday in Florida, Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel announced the seizure of over $509 million in illegal drugs. The Coast Guard discovered almost 45,000 pounds of cocaine and 3,800 pounds of marijuana worth over $509 million. According to Bondi, Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generación and the Sinaloa Cartel were both "heavily tied" to these drug shipments.
