According to experts, these elevated prices are anticipated to continue throughout the summer months. This comes as President Donald Trump says the price of oil might remain high even through the November midterm elections. We are getting reactions after President Donald Trump referenced China in a post on social media, saying they're "very happy" that he is reopening the Strait of Hormuz. This comes as both Iran and the United States have expressed interest in returning to in-person negotiations to reach a peace deal. The U.S. Central Command is currently working to maintain a blockade of all Iranian ports starting Monday. This follows President Donald Trump's Sunday announcement that the Navy would restrict all maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. The decision comes after weekend ceasefire negotiations with Iran failed to progress.
