Former President Donald Trump has returned to X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, firing off his first message in 958 days, after he surrendered at an Atlanta jail on charges he conspired to overturn his election loss. Donald Trump turned himself in to authorities in Atlanta to be booked on criminal charges over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia. Trump and his 18 of his co-defendants have been surrendering throughout the week at the Fulton County Jail. So far, 11 of his codefendants have been booked. Nine of them, including Rudy Giuliani, had surrendered by Wednesday, August 23. Two more allies of the former president, Mark Meadows and Floyd Harrison, turned themselves in hours ahead of Trump.
