3.8 magnitude earthquake hits northern California

On Thursday morning, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck the San Francisco Bay Area, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake’s epicenter was about 3.2 miles beneath the surface, roughly 2.5 miles south of San Leandro, California. The earthquake struck near the Hayward Fault, one of the most active fault lines in the region.
