Mamdani, Sanders at Starbucks rally in New York City
We are now learning that the coffee giant Starbucks will pay over $35 million to more than 15,000 New York City employees to settle claims that the company denied them stable schedules. Mayor-elect of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, and Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont stood with striking Starbucks employees on Monday. This event comes as Mamdani is exactly one month away from taking office as New York City's newest mayor.
