Redistricting debate continues as Texas Dems return

Dozens of Texas House Democrats left the state on August 3 to prevent voting on a redrawn congressional district map. They said that the new map could potentially give Republicans five more seats in the upcoming 2026 midterms. These Texas Democrats have now returned to the state.
