TX state Senate passes new congressional map

On Tuesday, the Texas state Senate was able to approve Republican-drawn maps, which have led House Democrats to flee the state. Texas Republicans began pushing for new maps after the Trump administration directed state officials that they were in violation of the Voting Rights Act.
