U.S. seizes Venezuela president's plane
The U.S. government says it has seized a plane used by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. The aircraft, a Dassault Falcon 900EX, was seized in the Dominican Republic and transferred to the Southern District of Florida at the request of the United States based on violations of U.S. export control and sanctions laws, according to the Department of Justice. U.S. Attorney General said in a press release that authorities allege the plane was illegally purchased for $13 million through a shell company and smuggled out of the U.S. to be used by Maduro.
