Trump speaks after Supreme Court ballot hearing

Former president Donald Trump speaks live following the Colorado Supreme court ballot case. The Supreme Court is taking up the unprecedented question of whether Donald Trump is disqualified from returning to the White House because of his actions around the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, when his supporters attempted to block the certification of Joe Biden’s election victory. The justices are reviewing a ruling from Colorado’s top court that declared the leading Republican presidential candidate ineligible for a second term because of a post-Civil War provision of the U.S. Constitution that disqualifies insurrectionists. The Supreme Court agreed to fast-track the case and is expected to resolve the issue for all states with similar challenges to Trump’s eligibility.
