We are learning the latest from the community impacted by yesterday’s deadly shooting in Rhode Island. This comes after police say a gunman killed his ex-wife and son during a hockey game on Monday. Authorities identified the shooter as 56-year-old Robert Dorgan. Pawtucket Police Chief, Tina Goncalves, said that the shooting appeared to be a targeted event and that it may have been a "family dispute" that led to the shooting inside the ice rink. Reports have indicated that authorities are reviewing video taken from the hockey game that was happening when the shooting occurred. Police Chief Goncalves, along with the Governor of Rhode Island Dan McKee, provided an update on Tuesday afternoon.

We are getting an update from police on the scene after a shooting in Rhode Island leaves three dead, including the suspect. Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee and the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives in Boston posted on social media about the shooting, but provided minimal details at the time. Footage from the near the incident appears to show multiple emergency vehicles outside the scene, including police and ambulances. Local law enforcement or other state officials are actively giving updates on the shooting, with information about the shooter not yet known. 

We are getting the latest reports out of Rhode Island where multiple people have been shot at Dennis M Lynch Arena in Pawtucket Monday afternoon. This is a developing situation with more information likely to come out in the coming hours. Early reports from officials indicate the arena is an indoor ice skating rink on Andrew D Ferland Way. Local news outlets reported that children were seen hiding inside a pharmacy near the scene of the incident when 911 was being called. 

We are learning more as the search continues for the suspect in a shooting at Brown University on Dec. 13. On Tuesday, officials in Rhode Island announced that an "enhanced photograph" would soon be released. They said that they were beginning to understand the gunman's route before the shooting began. Authorities on Monday also released several new videos of the man suspected of perpetrating the shooting inside of a Brown classroom, which killed two students and wounded nine others. We are getting an additional update from local officials, including Mayor of Providence Brett Smiley, as the investigation continues.

Officials released new information, video and photos of a person of interest in the investigation of a mass shooting at Brown University in which two people have been killed, and at least eight others sent to the hospital in critical condition. There is also a $50,000 reward to the public for any information that may lead to the suspect's capture.

We are now learning that a suspect in the Brown University shooting has been taken into custody according to police in Rhode Island. Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez said the suspect is in their 20s. An FBI official told The Associated Press that the arrest happened at a Hampton Inn in Coventry, about 20 miles from Providence.
