A reporter and photographer for the news wire service were both allegedly denied access to the event. The decision to deny AP's participation in the White House in-town press pool Monday comes despite a U.S. District Judge Trevor N. McFadden ruling last week that the White House violated the Constitution by blocking the publication's access to events. Earlier this year, the White House previously banned the Associated Press from events after the wire service said it would not refer to the "Gulf of Mexico" as the "Gulf of America" after President Trump signed an executive order renaming the body of water.

A jury on Monday found the man charged with murdering Maryland mother Rachel Morin guilty. Victor Martinez-Hernandez was convicted on several charges including premeditated murder and first-degree rape. Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, was jogging in a community northeast of Baltimore, when Martinez-Hernandez ambushed, strangled and beat her to death, authorities said.
