US: Iran has no control over Strait of Hormuz

The U.S. says Iran has lost complete control of the Strait of Hormuz. Secretary of State Marco Rubio made the claim while speaking to reporters in Athens, Greece, also saying U.S. sanctions have pushed Iran into “total and complete free fall.” Meanwhile, Iran’s oil minister is denying reports that he resigned over concerns about a lack of oil supplies. Today also marks three years since Hamas attacked a music festival in Israel, killing hundreds and helping spark the ongoing war in the Middle East.
