Paxton speaks after beating Cornyn in Texas runoff

We are now watching as incumbent Sen. John Cornyn of Texas has lost his runoff election against Attorney General Ken Paxton. Paxton will now go on to face Democratic state Rep. James Talarico in the general election. According to our partners at FOX 26 Houston, both GOP candidates were found to be trailing hypothetical head-to-heads against Talarico last month and voters were split then on who was the better challenger for the Austin Democrat.
