CENTCOM says F-35 forced to make an emergency landing
We are now hearing reports from U.S. Central Command who say that an F-35 fighter jet was forced to make an emergency landing after taking part in a combat operation over Iran. According to reporting from the Wall Street Journal, Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for the command that oversees the Middle East, said that the aircraft landed safely and the pilot was in “stable” condition. LiveNOW’s Austin Westfall is speaking to Hal Kempfer, a retired Marine Intelligence Officer, after early reports of the incident began to come into the newsroom.
