Protest disrupts fatal police shooting press conference

On Thursday, the Madison police chief held a press conference to provide an update on the fatal police shooting of a man the previous day. Corey Ruiz, was shot and killed by a police officer on a city street Wednesday. A bystander captured video of the moments leading up to and including the shooting, then later posted the footage online. As the police chief began addressing the media, protesters interrupted the press conference shortly after his opening remarks.
